Fun at the Free Adaptive Weekend

Shasta Disabled Sports held its 7th Annual Free Adaptive Weekend last weekend. We provided snowboard and ski lessons as well as sit-ski rides in the bi-ski. All equipment, lift tickets, and lessons were given without any cost to our members. Thanks to all of our wonderful volunteers for helping out.

We'd like to especially thank the , Yaqui Snowboards, and the Best Western Tree House for helping us raise money for our program.

Nordic and Snowshoe Day 2012

Shasta Disabled Sports held its Nordic and Snowshoe day earlier this month. We were happy with the number of people that came out to enjoy exercise and fun in the woods during the winter. We got a campfire going and volunteers and families brought up great food to keep us energized. Thanks to all of our volunteers who contributed their time to this great event. We'd like to especially thank the Mount Shasta Nordic Center for providing free gear for this event.

Naresh is Fresh

Check out video of Naga Naresh Karuturi ripping down the slopes in our bi-ski. Naresh is now a fully independent rider in both the bi-ski and mono-ski.

Thanks to ski buddy Ray Pettengell for filming this footage!
